Governor McMaster has proclaimed October as Energy Action Month, an event meant to encourage energy savings through efficiency and conservation.
The Office of Regulatory Staff - Energy Office is Energy in Action by implementing the first comprehensive State Energy Plan. More information can be found at ENERGY.SC.GOV/EnergyPlan.
The Energy Office is also working with public entities to reduce energy consumption. The Energy Office has been holding conferences and workshops in partnership with the Association of South Carolina Energy Managers (ASCEM) to educate energy managers on new technologies, provide low-interest loans for energy efficiency projects, and provide grant assistance when available.
During October, South Carolinians are encouraged to review how they use energy at home and at work. The checklists below can be used during Energy Action Month and throughout the year to take action and help save energy.
