The 2017 Tri-Association Conference was held March 4-7, 2017 at the Ocean Dunes/Sand Dunes Resort Conference Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. The Tri-Association consists of three associations
· ASPACO (Association of State Planning and Construction Officials)
19 Educational Sessions
With 19 educational sessions, conference topics ranged from Making The Most of Available Rebates, Grants, and Incentives, to The Tree Selection Process. Attendees were able to visit the 36 vendor booths during breaks and learn more about the availability of specific products and programs.
At the conference’s annual banquet, the 2017 Energy Manager of the Year Award was presented to Troy Nelson of USC-Columbia. Miles Hanley accepted the 2017 Energy Project of the Year Award for Richland School District One. Both of these awards are presented by ASCEM each year.
ASCEM presented graduates of the winter 2017 Accredited Commercial Energy Manager (ACEM) class with certificates. The following ACEM graduates attended the conference:
· Justin Shutt, Schneider-Electric
· Radu Moldovan, USC-Columbia and
· Tim Yarborough, Aiken County Public Schools
In honor of Jim Herritage’s last year as ACEM program instructor, all ACEM graduates at the event joined Jim for a commemorative photo.
