2009 IECC Residential and Commercial Code Training Seminar

Now is the time to prepare for the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), which is scheduled to be implemented on January 1, 2013.

The Home Builders Association of South Carolina and the South Carolina Energy Office are providing you with an opportunity to learn how to apply the code and how to increase and ensure that energy efficiency is built-in during the construction of new buildings and alterations to existing ones. Residential, commercial and mixed-use buildings will all be covered. This course will give you an overview of the critical concepts included in the 2009 IECC.

Attendees will be provided with:
* The knowledge base needed for the correct use of the code in the design, plan review, inspection and analysis of project, * A clear understanding of the requirements identified in the basic code provisions, tables and categorizations within the 2009 IECC, * The ability to apply the code in clear-cut situations and * A better understanding of the intent of the code to assist in making code compliance decisions.

Continuing Education Credits have been approved by the following: S.C. Building Code Council, S.C. Fire Marshall's Office, AGC, AIA, and Certified Master Builders of S.C.

Who Should Attend? Building officials, builders, remodelers, architects, inspectors, energy raters & auditors, insulation specialists, HVAC professionals, Realtors, Appraisers and others in residential construction or renovation.
